Time is up for Rafael Benitez as Inter put the emphasis on Leonardo, according to reports...
Inter president Massimo Moratti is about to call for change at the top and the first course of action will be replacing Rafael Benitez with former Milan man Leonardo.
On Monday Moratti said he wanted no embarrassing results against Werder Bremen in the Champions League - a clear message to Benitez - but he got just that 24 hours later as they crumbled 3-0 in Germany.
The chief expects enduring power, but he has seen fragmented form all season. And he has had enough.
Moratti will open dialogue with Leonardo and offer him a role to succeed the Spanish coach.
However, the Brazilian has previously kept reports of a return to coaching at arms length.
But Moratti is willing to offer a long-term project to rediscover and maintain stability - something Benitez has not done.
For his part, the ex-Liverpool man said on Tuesday his future was not tied to results in the Club World Cup.
