Atletico Madrid Confirm Elias Mendes Will Have Medical & Sign Deal On Monday

Atletico Madrid have announced the arrival of Elias Mendes who is expected to sign a four and a half year deal on Monday, the club said in a statement.

A note on their official website reads:
"Elias Mendes will arrive in Madrid on Monday December 20 for a medial under the supervision of Atletico Madrid's medical staff. He will then sign a deal with the Rojiblancos for the remainder of the season, and the next four years. Once he passes his medical, the player will become an Atletico Madrid player officially and he will be unveiled (date to be announced)."

Mendes, 25, will leave Brazilian side Corinthians after a two year spell there.

He is known for his strength, physique and attacking qualities.
