A point has satisfied Lyon boss Claude Puel, though he is regretful his side didn't take all three against Marseille.
Olympique Lyonnais boss Claude Puel believes his side missed a chance to scoop maximum points against Olympique de Marseille on Sunday night.
Lisandro Lopez’s emphatic first-half finish gave les Gones a lead at the interval, but the visiting side battled back after the break and drew level through Mathieu Valbuena.
“We could have taken more tonight,” Puel told the press after the game. “It is in line with our previous games. These have been matches made with solid quality.
“We had a difficult start, when we lost too much possession. We opened the scoring and we could have punished [Marseille] in several situations.
“We conceded a goal that was a little weird. We did not see it coming too. The move was successful, it was opportunistic, but it was unfortunate for us.
“We had opportunities to win this match. We will not be too greedy, but we do have some regrets.”
Lyon’s 2010 concludes with a home fixture against Auxerre on Wednesday evening.
